SMWORKS Cultural Competence Training Session #1

Do you live, work or volunteer in the South Mountain Community? Would you like to continue developing your skills to better serve the community? Then join us for our next coalition essential Cultural Competence Training where we will learn together how to apply strategies to better engage and build servant leadership in South Mountain.
Front-line service professionals, community members and volunteers are invited to attend South Mountain WORKS Coalition’s Cross-Cultural Competency Training.
Session #1: Friday, May 29, 2020
Session Objectives: Understanding and Overcoming Barriers to Community Engagement
* Understanding a model for cross-cultural collaboration to engage communities
* Understand the impact of historical trauma/community trauma
* Develop awareness around systemic and institutional barriers to collaboration
* Distilling the levels of learning and how it impacts our worldview
*4 hour cultural competence training certificate provided
This training is provided in a two part session. It is suggested to attend both training’s to engage in a comprehensive learning experience.
